Anyone else noticed that stripes are everywhere? I for one love it. I’m happy to wear a cozy striped sweater, a striped t-shirt and blazer, or striped button down, any day of the week. I’ve picked my top striped pieces for fall and winter below, including the above $23 sweater linked here.

Crewneck Sweaters
Typically, stripes lend themselves to a more casual vibe, so it’s fun to mix it up and pair them with something a little more unexpected to give them a chic look. For this, I’ve paired my favorite casual, over-sized, off-the-shoulder sweater with vegan leather leggings and booties. This is an easy look for a dinner party, a night out with girlfriends or date night.
I love all the black and white stripes out there, but I also love the bold colors and bigger stripes that are popping up everywhere. I pulled some of my top picks. They range in price from $23 (like the one I have one) and up.. You certainly do not need to break the bank for the bold colorful trend, but there is something to be said for a good cashmere sweater. My favorite from the below is the La Ligne sweater. It’s cashmere, has a fun pop of color with the red, pink, blue and yellow, but it’s still subtle enough with the grey background to wear to work under a blazer with navy cigarette pants or dark denim and a navy wool blazer. I also love the Chinti and Parker striped crewneck sweater in navy and red. Though a bit pricier, the classic colors will always be on trend and work for every occasion from a girls’ Holiday gathering to a cute weekend look paired with navy velvet jeans. Any of these will always work with a pencil skirt for work or cute pants and heels. I’ve added all of my top picks below.
Classic Striped Button Down
My first striped love: the striped button down. It’s classic. It’s always on trend, and it will give any outfit that proper preppy finish. It’s the one piece in my closet that I am not likely to give away—ever. My favorite button down is actually one of the least expensive things I own, and it’s linked here. Classic blue and white stripes always add that elegant finish to anything from destroyed denim to jean shorts. But to be fair, I love all the ones I have linked below. Wear this classic piece under a blazer with distressed denim for a downtown prep look that works for football games or a Sunday night dinner with friends. For the easiest, classis work look: just add this top to a pencil skirt with peep toe heels.
Striped T-Shirts
Striped t-shirts are easy-to-wear, traditionally have a slightly nautical feel and will work for the office with a cardigan and blazer or on the weekend with jeans and cute flats. I’ve pulled some of my favorites below. I am loving the cute puff-sleeve crewneck from A.L.C linked here and below. It’s still classic and perfect for the office with a simple skirt or plain-front pants, but the puff-sleeve detail makes it appropriate to wear from day-to-night. You can never go wrong with a striped boat-neck. There is a reason this piece makes its way back into the round-ups every season: it’s flattering and classic and works from work to weekend. My favorite is linked here.
Striped Cardigan Sweater
Okay, the striped cardigan has been a top-seller for the last two and half years. It’s super comfy and it’s one of the easiest ways to dress up a plain tank top or t-shirt and jeans and give it a little extra something. The rest of your outfit can be super plain and this will add just enough of a pattern to make it feel complete. Wear this with cute jeans or coated denim, slides, patent leather ballet flats, or grab your favorite wedges for a casual date night. For work, wear any of these with solid pants or straight skirt. Or wear this with an a-line skirt, crewneck top and add a belt over the whole look for a cute twist. I’ve linked all of my favorites below.
