The Nordstrom Anniversary sale has officially opened to the public. There are so many fall deals. It runs through August 5th, but I would not wait; pieces are going fast.
Top trends: Red is back again, mustard, pattern: plaids, stripe, herringbones and floral, deconstructed blazers, ruched dresses, which are so flattering, feminine high collared tops, off-the-shoulder sweaters, and of course velvet and fur, both faux and real, are still with us.
Dresses
My favorite from this line-up is the suede dress. Can’t miss. Perfect with over-the-knee boots and a collared shirt or turtle neck to give it a retro feel.
Blouses
I love the one shoulder top from Vince. It comes in two colors, and is a fall staple. If I was adding one item, that would be it. Perfect for date night, cocktails with leather leggings, and everything in between.
Jeans
From these, I love a coated denim. I live in it during the fall and winter. It dresses up an outfit, and you can wear out and to the office. For work, add a white button down and a blazer to give it a polished feel. I also love the asymmetrical hem jeans by Frame. Those are a fun addition.
Blazers
Velvet blazers are my favorite. I own one in at least five colors, and will continue adding. They add a richness, elegance and polish to any look. I love a bold pop of red for fall and winter. No reason to wear all black, all the time.
Vests
The blush vest is a perfect transition piece from fall to winter. The color is flattering on almost everyone and adds a subtle touch to your outfit.
Jumpsuits
You cannot go wrong with the Vine Crepe jumpsuit. That will carry through all seasons. Wear it now on its own, wear it during fall to work with a blazer, and wear it to holiday parties with some fun jewels to dress up. I love that it’s navy versus black to change things up a bit.
Shoes
The thigh high boot in charcoal is a winner. If you did not embrace the grey boot trend last year, give it a go this year. It adds a nice lightness to your look, and a subtle edge that you don’t get with a camel colored boot.
