If you live in the south, where it’s still sweltering, you are probably looking at this sweater and thinking, “Why are we even talking about fall? It’s 100°. But, if you live almost anywhere else in the country, you know fall is right around the corner. It’s already cooling down in the Midwest and I am just about ready to wear this outfit on repeat.
This is a great summer into fall weekend look because all you need to do is change out your shoes and add a sweater. That’s it. It’s the perfect go-to for Saturday brunch, errands or Septemberfest (Oktoberfest) and festivals. I have on a simple white tank and white destroyed denim jeans shorts with the cardigan. Instead of my summer go-to gladiator sandals, I am wearing booties and added a longer boho-style necklace to break up the white and finish this casual look.
A few people have asked about my thoughts on year-round white denim. If I am totally honest, I still feel slightly scandalous wearing white after Labor Day, but I am going to keep it on rotation through September at least, (and yes, my grandmother will roll over in her grave) but give it a fall look by adding darker, solid color sweaters or neutral textured sweaters like this one, blazers or moto jackets.
