Gearing up for the holidays and the parties that come along with it, the struggle is real when it comes to appropriate attire for company parties that does not end up making you feel (or worse) or look frumpy. (First world problems) But, seriously there is a fine line between dressing up for a holiday party with friends, where a plunging neckline is 100% okay, and dressing up to hang out with the boss.
This dress by Trina Turk is form fitting, but still elegant, and the off-the-shoulder and bell sleeve elements keeps it chic and fun. I love the color for fall and winter. The deep red will compliment most skin tones, and of course it will also hide stains for those of us (eh hem’) that tend to spill adult libations more often than not. And, it comes in navy, too!
I’ve paired this dress with nude heels, and a nude clutch that converts to a cross body bag. I love nude accessories; especially, nude shoes because they elongate the leg, and match everything. When in doubt, nude is always a good choice. I’ve added a simple diamond necklace from Stella & Dot that is linked here . Because I have on statement earrings and a bolder bracelet, I wanted to make sure the neckline was kept simple. I’ve linked everything on the right.
